Lake Day

Today was a lake day!! haha The young men and young women in our ward went out to Sand Hollow Reservoir for a boating activity. It was really fun!! Me and Noelle always seem to have such a good time. Just relaxing on the beach, or singing on a boat. We pretty much tubbed the whole day. Starting at 5 and ending at 10. It was a perfectly sunny day, with a little clouds to keep us from turning into lobsters. Now although my best friend Geoff was not there I still had a lot of fun and really enjoy the company of my ward. I am glad that these kinds of programs are placed to bring us together in my church. It makes me feel loved and at home. Thank you to all my friends who went and to the leaders for putting it together. I know it was tight this year but you pulled off a perfectly great day lol :P

10 gruesome hours

Yesterday me and my group of friends decided to be insane and go wait in line for the midnight premier of Eclipse. Thanks to someone that shall not be named we sat in line 6 hours earlier than needed. Playing games, talking, eating, and just hanging out at a empty theater. People were staring at us like we were nuts, which I would have to agree with them. Although I love my group of friends sitting with them for 10 hours is not what I would have called an eventful, fun, day. It was so long by the time the movie was over we were all delusional and shouting. 2 am and we couldnt really comprehend what was going on. Me and Aubrey were driving home and I couldnt tell where we were. At nine o'clock they let us into the theater. We werent really prepared to stand there for so long. All I ate was junk food and pickles yesterday. haha One of the cashier guys gave me three pickles when I only payed for one. Anyway it was a really fun day besides the fact that I was tired, hot, hungry, bored, annoyed, delusional, and a whole bunch of other emotions that I cant remember.

I know this post is really jumbled but hey whatever. That is how my day was.

You look like.. like another actor

Have you ever noticed how many actors look like each other.
Well I did lol. I cant believe how much similarities there are in Hollywood these days.
From my view point why dont we just pick one actor/actress and tell him/her to do twice as many roles. That wouldn't be so bad would it. So here are my top 5 most confusing actors/actresses. Chose which you would rather see on the big screen lol.

Number 5 : Hugh Jackman or Goran Visnjic
Hugh Jackman and Goran Visnjic
These actors look stupidly similar and makes me mad!!

Number 4 : Zooey Deschanel or Katy Perry

Number 3 : Amy Adams or Isla Fisher

Number 2 : Kira Knightly or Natalie Portman

Number 1 : Jessie Eisenberg, Andy Samberg, or Michael Cera

Dont tell me in all these actors you dont see the same person lol. Just try to choose one. I would love to hear from you.

The situation

Okay so no one really seems to understand my Family situation. No matter how many times I seem to explain it, it always sounds confusing and incomprehensible. So I am going to try to explain it one more time for everyone to hear then maybe draw up a diagram to show everyone. lol Here we go....

My name is Meagan Louise Doty and My real parents are Shona and Greig. My parents are divorced and I have one blood Sibling, Casey. He belongs to my Mother Shona and His dad Mike. My mom remarried a guy name Ralph and he had 2 sons, Chris and Jason. (then my mom and ralph got divorced). My Dad has a brother named Scott, who I live with, and Scott's wife's name is Becky. Becky and Scott have 4 children named Josh, Heather, Kris, and Maggie. I have lived with my Uncle Scott and Aunt Becky for about three years now and have adopted them as my second parents. So their kids are now sorta my siblings. My siblings all have kids of their own which are my nieces and nephews. (you with me so far??)

My brother Chris has kids and lives in St. George. I go and visit him often so if I say I am going to see my brother, I am probably referring to him.

My brother Casey lives with my Mom(shona) in Moab, but I only see them every once in a while. So if I say I am going out of town its probably to see them.
Casey has a girlfriend who I also call my sister, because she is so close to it.

So that is about it. If you are confused then ask me questions. (click on the photo up top to see a detailed diagram ) BAHAHAHAHA

The reason it all started!!

Okay so I just made this blog because I am dying to share all the funny and interesting things that happen on a day to day basis in my life. For one I have the most amazing group of friends a teen could ever ask for. We do just about everything together and this friendship only started a week ago. So here is a quick recap of the last two weeks.

Wednesday 16 : Me and my friend Noelle from the ward decided we would spend some time together getting ready for our Youth Conference trip to Manti. We packed and had some fun that night and pretty much got to know eachother a little more.

Thursday 17: this day was the big trip to Manti where me and my ward really got down to being good friends. We had a long car ride with Me, Bryan, Tagj, Amanda, Jacob, and Miri, almost a 4 hour drive to our destination and we had a lot of fun just talking it up. We played games and went to our dorms when we finally got there and all together had just a lot of fun together as a ward and as youth. We had so much fun that day that we were so much closer than we ever had been.
Friday 18 : We had some spiritual experiences and had a lot of free time. Doing some service for the Manti temple, we worked together and laughed just as friends do. It was fun but the best part of that day was the three hours of waiting for the 2 hour pageant. We walked around, and played games, and waited pretty much. It was incredible to be close to friends and make some good memories.

Saturday 19: this was the day of leaving it all behind (or so I thought). We had an incredible testimony meeting there and made some long lasting memories together. I know that my friends have a testimony of this gospel and I believe that it has changed our lives for the better. We came home that day with a better friendship. A stronger love for our church, and a promise to make it through together.

Sunday 20: We came to church and we met the new kid, bryce. We already kinda had a group established but hey that didnt matter to us. We liked the kid and were planning to add him in, even if he didnt know it. :)

Monday-Friday:

The group is formed. We did everything together this week. We ate together, we watched movies together, we swam together, we cried together, we laughed together, we shopped together, we shared everything about our lives with each other. Every day we woke up and asked ourselves and the others.."what is in store for today?" We got together for some meal at someones house and played games, or swam, or went shopping. By the end of the week there were nine of us. Nine people that had done everything together, nine people that were changing each others live and hoping to add more in. We had dinner parties were we dressed up and ate some good food, we went shopping for our signature sign (aviators)and somehow managed to get everyone a pare that didnt look like any other one we had. We watched our favorite movie Alice in wonderland (the new one) and we just plainly had some good old fashioned fun.

Our parents have wondered where we are, or what we have been up to for this past week, but to be honest I dont think they would want us any other way. We are together as one, and having a great time. We plan to make each week this summer a continuous adventure. I will make sure to share all our times together on this blog. SO pay attention.
